Hi,
I am quite new with xen and am stuck just installing. Any help or pointers are welcome.
Goal was to make a Xen build on the server to enable libvirt communication and Java APIs.
Having installed debian7.1 installer, I used 'apt' to sit xen on top of it, which failed. I was able to see a bug filed in May, but no replies. Switching to build from source, I was able to satisfy the dependencies which required installing multiarch. There I changed the grub setting to pick xen to start but the screen goes blank.
Anything is missing? Or is it that I have come into a Pandora's box situation.

Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3POmlMNzvw

I can confirm this works both under virtualbox env and also on hardware. I know you talking about building xen. Maybe get xen installed from package first then later take the build from source route. At least that is my plan.

As far as I know, the bug in question is fixed in the stable-proposed-updates tree and will therefore be fixed in the next point release.
